Temka Privacy Policy

Temka is a private messenger. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account data: your email address (used only to sign in via a one-time code) and the username, name, bio and photos you choose to add.
• Content: messages, media and files you send, delivered to your chat participants. We do not read, sell or use your messages for advertising.
• Technical data: device session info needed to keep you signed in and deliver messages and notifications.

How we use it

Solely to operate the service: authenticate you, deliver your messages in real time, show presence and read status according to your privacy settings, and send push notifications you enable.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We use a small number of processors strictly to run the app: email delivery (Resend), file storage (Cloudflare R2), and application hosting (Railway). Your messages are only delivered to the people you send them to.

Privacy controls

You control who can see your last seen time, profile photos, bio, who can add you to groups, message you, and more, from Settings → Privacy. Last-seen visibility is mutual, as in Telegram.

Data retention & deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete account). This removes your account, profile and messages from our systems. Sessions can be revoked individually.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/WSS). An optional app passcode with Face ID / Touch ID protects access on your device.

Children

Temka is not directed to children under 13.
